Singapore

We arrived super early in the morning to Singapore on nov 13th. We sadly lost Jess's tent which was strapped to my bag. It must of slipped out somewhere in perth. Luckily the airport had starbucks and free wifi... Yes as sad as that sounds it helped turn our morning around. After a few hours spent at Starbucks we decided to figure out how to get to our hostel. We stayed at mori hostel. It was pretty nice air conditioned rooms was key. We dropped our bags off and walked around a little. We went to little India first, then Clark Quay which we found out soon enough is way better and more lively night.

Clark Quay at night
After we went to Chinatown, walked around for a bit and had lunch. We were suprised and annoyed that te peanuts they put on the table when u sit down were not complimentary... Who would of though. Also the wet napkins they give you they also charged for :/
Later that day we tried to make the show at the gardens by the bay but missed it so we we to Clark Quay at night had a drink and went home we were so tired.
Day 2:
We decided to go to botanical gardens. It was so pretty but we did so much walked and in the heat you just get so tired out. However the botanical gardens are known for there orchard exhibit, they were so pretty. The orchard is also singapores coutry flower.
Walked through apart of the rain forest. I am under a bridge (below) that holds up the vines hanging from the trees.
After botanical gardens we went to ochard street. It's there famous shopping street. All Christmas decorations were up.
Above is this huge mall! It was so cool inside. The food court was unlike anything I have ever seen before so many options.
I tried laksa a traditional dish here in Singapore. It wasn't bad it was like a soup with noodles tofu and shrimp. It was kind of a creamy soup, but still so good. After we passed this amazing bakery and of course we had to get something. Jess got a chocolate covered pretzel and I tried a comin on sugar roll they had just come of of the oven and were calling my name! Lol the bakery was funny though every case would mention the healthy thig about the desert. Like strawberry short cake, has lots of vitamin A lol. My cinmon roll said the frosting on top reduced cholesterol haha yeah ok!
After that we headed back to the hostel and went to bed early so we could have a long productive day in the am.
So about that early morning wake up... We didn't get out till noon. We went to Sentosa it's an island right off Singapore with all kinds of fun things to do. Universal studios, an aquarium, zip lines, a beach, bars pretty much any fun activity for kids and adults. Jess and I tried out the flying trapez which was fun.
We got lunch on the island and oksana insisted on paying for it! It was $60 for the 3 of us it was so nice of her, but we got her back with drinks and dinner later.
After we got back from Sentosa we needed to try iced coffee in a bag. It's the thing to do around here. It was pretty good. We drank our bag coffee while we watched the one of many thunderstorms pass by.
Later that night we got ready and lef to catch the garden by the bay light show.
After we went to marina bay hotel to go to the sky bar.
Drinks were so expensive! We paid $42 for a jug of sangria bc it was our cheapest option.
After the sky bar we decided to get some dinner since we were all hungry. Once again we chose a way to expensive place but we were all hungry an trying to please each other. We ended up eating at a place on the water it was pretty but expensive. I bought dinner since I owed Jess money and didn't want Oksana to pay since she got lunch. We then went to a few more bars and headed home. Drinks were just so expensive we only got 1-2 more drinks. For 3 drinks our bill was $50 it was rediculous! Regardless we still had fun and didn't get home till about 3am.
This morning I just hung out at the hostel for a bit, did some laundry and got a few things done I had been meaning to. Jess was up and at em super early and went for a tree top walk/ run (because she ran the whole thing, crazy) but u walk above the jungle trees. It looked pretty cool. I meet up with her later at gardens by the bay. We went to 2 different domes which were both ok. The cloud dome was better in my opinion.
Flower dome below
Lion carved out of one solid tree.
Simba cloud dome below
It was $28 to enter both dome's I wish I only paid the $16 to enter only the cloud one though.
After we went to marina sands hotel grabbed diner and walked around to see the shops.
Reminded me of Vegas
Cool skylight.
Then we went to little India to get a last few gifts and souvenirs. Lots of markets were going on and the streets were crowed. Not fun to many people. Plus there were no girls and being a white american we stuck out like soar thumbs... Everyone was starring, very uncomfortable. A few days back we even had 2 guys ask to take pictures with us haha. So strange and random. Jess and I were sitting right next to each other and this guy wedged himself right between us... I kinda felt like a celebrity with how excited they were but also a little weirded  out haha. Anyways we got what we needed and headed back to the hostel to pack up and get to the airport. Now waiting to go to the airport and on to our next adventure, Bali!
